For over 60 years, Club Car has been the industry leader in innovation and design in golf cars. As times have changed, the company has expanded its expertise to commercial utility vehicles.
With the 2022 merger with Garia Utility, Club Car is bringing their first road-legal utility car to the streets of Europe.
1960-1969: Club Car produced the first golf car with a steering wheel, later introducing the first golf utility vehicle for easier golf course navigation.
1962: Bill Stevens, Sr. bought Landreath Machine, based in Dallas, TX, and moved it to Augusta, GA in 1962, and Club Car officially began production.
1980-1989: The Club Car DS and The Carryall II are introduced.
1990-1999: A decade of innovation included the first overhead valve engine, the FE290, on-demand vehicles specific to customer needs, ArmorFlex introduction, and Café Express debut.
2000-2009: Club Car celebrates its one-millionth car rolling off the production line and introduces the Precedent i2, Carryall 295, Excel Drive System, and The Villager 2+2 LSV.
Garia was founded in Denmark in 2005.
In 2022, Club Car welcomes Garia Utility into the family, including the brand's massive innovations during a highly productive decade, including golf cars, LSVs, EU-street legal UTVs, 4-seaters, Roadsters, 6-seaters, and improved models with varying chassis lengths.
The addition of Garia Utility marks Club Car's entry into the European marketplace for electric, street-legal utility vehicles.
